REMINDER: 2 HOUR LATE START ON FRIDAY THE 1ST!
Walk for Life is on Friday (the 1st)! Please remember to bring your bottles back this week! The Walk for Life store is open on Monday-Thursday. All the money collected will go to the American Cancer Society. Students do not need more than a couple dollars to buy things (if you want).
***Parents are able to walk with their children for the Walk for Life. You will not need a background check for this event. Please DO NOT enter the school if you wish to walk with us. Meet us in the field by the walking track (marked in the grass by the back parking lot). Our class will walk from 12:10-12:40. Can't wait to see you there!
This week we will wear a special color each day to represent a different kind of cancer. See below:

The PV spring carnival
May 1st at PV from 6pm-8pm!!
Thanks to everyone that brought Frozen donations or money for the basket!
PV Spring Carnival is just around the corner. We hope to see all of you bouncing, bidding and playing all the great carnival games. We are also looking for volunteers to help out. Please consider volunteering from 6-7, 7-8, or 6-8. This is a fun event that is only possible with volunteers!! Email pvptac@gmail.com with the shift you are available to volunteer for. Every volunteer receives a free slice of pizza, pop and dessert as a thank you from the PTAC! The PTAC has been instrumental in providing our students with money for field trips, iPads, active boards, social events and many more things!

- How does a problem make a story interesting? We will read "Days with Frog and Toad?".
- Story structure (character, setting, plot)
- Long i (igh, y, ie)
- Base words and endings -ed, -ing, -est, -er, -es
- Adjectives
- Finding unknown partners with double digit addition
- Finding unknown partners with money
- Introduction to making change for a dollar
- Unit 8 test
